Thomas "Tom" Teske, 61, of Scranton, ND, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Southwest Healthcare Hospital in Bowman.  Funeral Services for Tom will be on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pierce Congregational Church rural Scranton.  Pastor Mary Wiggins will officiate with burial to follow in Pierce Congregational Cemetery.

Thomas Gordon Teske was born on January 8, 1959 in Dickinson, ND, to Helen (Jones) and Gordon Teske.  He was raised on a farm in Slope County near Cedar Dam.  Tom attended Woodberry country school, attended grade school in Scranton and then graduating from Scranton High School in 1977.  Tom then went to Wahpeton and attended NDSCS majoring in Welding and Ag Business.  Tom moved back to the farm where he farmed and ranched till his death.  In 1980, Tom was united in marriage to Marlene Gustafson.  They raised 4 kids together, Nicholaus, Patrick, Malathy and Vembu.  Tom was known for being one of best welders in area.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and the Fourth of July.  He was a past church officer.  Served on the Cedar Township Board and was also a member of the Soil Conservation Board for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Marlene and four kids, Nicholaus (Jeni), Patrick, Malathy and Vembu, grandchildren, Brandon, Carter, Anathi and Moses.  Brothers, Mike and Gary and sisters, Georgia and Bonnie.  Marlene's siblings, Marty, Sue, Glenda, Marilyn, Art, Ann and John.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.
