Steven Richard Lewton, 61, of Bowman, ND, passed away on June 14, 2016 at the Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, ND.

Steve was born in Bowman, ND on October 16, 1954. He graduated from Bowman High School and attended the ND State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND before marrying Nadine Fadness (Walby) in 1975. He was a community handy man for many years and was known for his appliance repair. He enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with family and friends at Jabbr's. He was a skilled guitarist and song writer and could often be found reading a book at the park. He had a love of all things living and would offer a helping hand to anyone needed it. He and Nadine had two children, Abby (Lewton) Taylor, who currently lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband, Cortez Taylor, and his three grandchildren, Eli (7), Alaina (4) and Ivy (6 months). His son, Tad Lewton, lives in Bowman, ND with his wife Shantel (Holder) Lewton.

Steve is also survived by his brothers Gary Lewton, Jerry (Candice) Lewton, Mick (Mary) Lewton, Tim (Cheryl) Lewton, Dave (Bonnie) Lewton, sisters, Laurie (Terry) Hafner, Penny (Kelly) Binek, many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

Steve is preceded in death by his father and mother, Dean and Leona Lewton.

Visitation for Steve will be on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 8am to 9pm at the Krebsbach Kulseth Funeral Home with the family being present from 6pm to 8pm. Private services will be held at a later date.

Steve had a heart full of love and shared it with everyone he touched. In lieu of flowers or memorial donations we ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, friend or walk in the woods for a moment, an hour or a day. Time waits for no one
