Scot Giannonatti passed away on August 9, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, ND.

He was born on March 16, 1959 to Fern (Welch) and Ronald Giannonatti in Belle Fourche, SD and resided at his ranch in Ludlow, SD his entire life. He graduated from Bowman High School in 1977. He was proud to be a rancher and caretaker of all of God's critters his entire life.

He married The Wife (others called her Carol Jongeling) in August 1983. Together they shared one bossy daughter to help manage the three rambunctious sons that followed.

He loved family and his neighbors and had close friendships with many of his relatives that lived nearby throughout his life. He especially loved children and animals and they all loved him back—neighborhood kids knew that Scot was always good for a handful of M&Ms. He was an avid fan of local and family history and an enthusiastic collector of junk (treasures).

He was preceded by his father Ronald. He is survived by his mother Fern, wife Carol, his children:  Jennifer (Anthony) Toscana – Gillette, WY, Antoine "AG" (Shana), Morgan, and Adam all of Ludlow, SD; one sister Annette Slaba – Ludlow, SD and her children Kristi (Mitch) Wachendorf  –  Washburn, ND and Jay Slaba, Ludlow, SD. He is also survived by his beloved grand-twins, Atlas and Aurora Toscana of Gillette, WY; aunt Marian Giannonatti, cousins Deb Turbiville and Lane Giannonatti and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private family service and burial will take place at Ludlow Cemetery. All are welcome to a celebration of life at the Ludlow Community Hall August 13, 2019 at 5:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Ludlow Community Hall or the Ludlow Fire Department.
