Sara was born on October 30th, 1981 in Hettinger,  ND to Greg and Cindy (Peterson) Steiner. She grew up in Scranton with one older brother, and one younger sister.

Sara loved camping, fishing, and playing games especially Hand and Foot. She had a great love of music and sang in every cafe concert throughout high school.  Sara also took great pleasure during her time working with kids as a para-professional. She loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own. All Sara wanted in life was to help others. Over the years, no matter what Sara was doing she did with 110%. Whether it was cooking at the Marina, taking care of residents in the nursing home, or cleaning cars. Sara was a terrific friend with the very best infectious laugh. She will be dearly missed by many.

Sara is survived by her parents,  Greg and Cindy Steiner, her siblings Justin and Serena(Walter) Steiner and Samantha and Isidro Zapata, one grandmother,  Christina Steiner,  two nieces, Georgia Steiner and Maria Zapata, and two nephews, Antonio Zapata and Emiliano(EJ) Zapata. Sara was preceded in death by her grandfather Elmer Steiner and her grandparents Tollof and Agnes Peterson.
