Russell Engesser, 86, of Rapid City, SD, passed away on June 5, 2020 in Rapid City.

Graveside Services for Russell will be on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 4 p.m. in the Bowman Cemetery.  There will be visitation for Russell at the Funeral Home from 3-4 with the family present.  Deacon Ken Schmit will officiate the burial.

Russell Matthias Engesser passed away peacefully on the morning of
June 5th at age 86 in Rapid City, SD. Russell was a man of many talents
and could fix anything. Russell served his country for 5 years and was
honorably discharged in 1961. He was a Sheriff in Hoven, SD which was
short lived due to him being so nice and letting everyone go. He spent
the majority of his life working on the farm and running his mechanic
shop Russ's Repair. He met and married Mary Schwarzbauer in 1957.
Russell & Mary had seven children which are all still alive and well;
Rusty (Rapid City, SD) married to Minda , Loree McLaughlin (Vale, SD)
married to Kenny , Dianna King (Rapid City, SD) married to Mark, Donny
(Lambert, MT) married to Debra , Marlyn (Belle Fourche, SD) married to
Kari, Timothy (Rapid City, SD) married to Karen and Karmon (Rapid City,
SD) . He lost his wife Mary in 1990 due to cancer. He got remarried to
his current wife Fern in 2012 and has lived in Rapid City with her ever
since. He was the man who always helped everyone he could no matter
what. There was never a time when we passed someone broke down
on the road whether we were late for something or not. He will be
deeply missed by many but Heaven has an amazing dancing angel now.
