Ronald Erwin Eagon aka Hay Grinder Man, was born at the Rhame Hospital on October 3, 1948, to Donald and Margie (Coates) Eagon. Ron had ten siblings-Carol, Linda, Elda, Jack, Peggy, Gail, Dale Rae, Connie, Rex and Neil. He grew up 20 miles south of Rhame, ND and attended school at Mud Butte until the 8 th grade. Ron was a self educated man with an incredible knowledge of things.

Ron met Lori (Moe) in Baker in 1988. A year after meeting Lori, they were married on October 17, 1989. Ron had two kids, Jill and Neyl, from a previous marriage and Lori had two sons, Wade and Jesse, creating a ready- made family.

Ron was a hard working man and had numerous jobs over the years. His first job was moving hay for Oscar Griggs, Sr. He would later work as a custom combiner, at the Rhame Elevator, for Pool Well Service, and for Luff. Ron and Lori also ran the Hunter's Table and Tavern for a short time. Ron and Lori purchased the Rhame Super Value in 1999 and operated that business for 13 years.

Ron continued to ranch for himself and his Uncle Lyle. He worked for ER-Lee Rizer Hay grinding up until the time of his death bringing him full circle to where he began. Ron was dedicated to his hay grinding customers. He would drop everything to fulfill his customer's needs and they became like family to Ron.

Ron and Lori enjoyed traveling together and enjoyed each other's company. One of their most memorable trips was to the Panama Canal. All his grandkids where everything to Ron and they would travel to see them as well.

Ron enjoyed gardening, wood working and would tinker on everything and could fix anything. He was hardworking and good with his hands. Later in life, Ron started collecting stationary engines. He had a collection of a dozen or more, appreciating the simpler ways of living back then. Ron will also be remembered for his expertise at making bread pudding and oyster stew.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lori; daughter Jill (Nathan) and grand children Christian and Bianca of Green River, WY; son Neyl (Dana) and grand children Gretchyn and Landyn of Marmarth, ND; son Wade (Annie) and Tristia of Cutbank, MT; and son Jesse of Moorhead, MN.

He is also survived by his sisters, Carol (Jim), Linda (Max), Connie (Elvis), Elda, Peggy, Gail and Dale Rae (Dale); brothers Jack (Tina) and Rex (June); numerous nieces and nephews and mother- in- law Joan.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Margie; brother Neil; father-in-law Donald; and numerous aunts and uncles.
