Robert "Rob" A. Lewton of Bowman, ND passed away on November 20, 2021 after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Memorial services for Rob will be held at 2:00pm on December 4, 2021 at Bowman United Methodist Church. A celebration of Rob's life will also take place at 7:00pm on December 3rd at Windy's Pizza.
Rob was born on June 4, 1962 in Lemmon, SD to Dennis and Bert (Edgar) Lewton, and raised in Bison, SD. After graduating in 1980, Rob attended Wyotech in Laramie, WY for auto body.
In 1990 Rob married Wanda Arre. Rob and Wanda were blessed with 2 children, Christopher and Preston. Rob was also blessed with step-daughter, Kari.
On May 26, 2001, Rob married his soulmate and best friend, Rita Gisi; and blessed with step-daughter, Kayla and step-son Chris.
Rob was employed by Continental Resources for over 21 years. During his free time, Rob and Rita, along with the children, worked side by side as R&R Tree Service as well as dabbled in painting and small carpentry projects.
Rob enjoyed sketching, fishing and especially spending time with his family. He also enjoyed trips on his motorcycle. Rob and Rita took several trips on the bikes around the US, but always enjoyed riding in the Black Hills the most.
Rob had a radiant smile and was genuine, caring, and a great sense of humor. Strangers found themselves drawn to Rob to strike up lengthy conversations.
Rob will be greatly missed by his wife Rita; parents Dennis and Bert Lewton of Bison, SD; brother Doug (Karla) Lewton of Prairie City, SD; sons Christopher Lewton of Dickinson, ND and Preston Lewton of Bismarck, ND; step-children Kayla Steffen of Harwood, ND, Chris Steffen of Rhame, ND and Kari Dallman of Fargo, ND. Rob is preceded in death by grandparents Virgil and Cora Edgar, grandmother Marjorie White, grandfather John Lewton, nieces Amy Shape and twin nieces Andrea and Ashley Lewton
