Nancy G. Sheets, 95, of Valley City, formerly of Bowman, ND, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the St. Raphael home in Valley City.

Funeral Services for Nancy will be on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bowman Methodist Church.  Pastor Val Reinhiller will officiate with a private family burial in the Bowman Cemetery.  Visitation for Nancy will be on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 12-9 at the Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Home Chapel in Bowman.

Nancy G. (Forde) Sheets was born on June 15, 1929, in St. Cloud, MN, to Oscar and Elsa Forde.  Nancy attended Bismarck Schools graduating in 1947.  Nancy graduated from Jamestown College in 1951 and taught school in Underwood, ND and Bowman, ND.  On June 20, 1953, Nancy married Ray Sheets.  They were married for 58 years before Ray passed away in 2011.  They were blessed with four children: Tom, Craig, Elsa and Robert.  Nancy was employed at the Bowman Hospital and she was an active member of the Methodist Church in Bowman and enjoyed playing Bridge.  Nancy moved to Valley City in 2015.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Ray, her parents, Oscar and Elsa Forde, her stepmother Floy and one brother, Ted Forde.  Nancy is survived by her four children: Tom (Sandy) Sheets of Mitchell, SD, Craig (Lori) Sheets of Fargo, ND, Elsa (Kevin) Kamphuis of Valley City, ND and Robert (Dolores) Sheets of Midland, TX, 9 grandchildren: Brenda Puetz, Bethany Dahl, Stephanie Tornatore, Justin Sheets, Joshua Plecity, Tana Plecity, Dusty Kamphuis, Heather Berg and Madison Sheets, 16 great grandchildren, and one sister, Betty Dockrey of Bismarck, ND.   Memorials are suggested to the Bowman Methodist Church or the SMP Valley City Activities Department.
