Mildred was a very generous and giving lady. She spent many hours caring for her disabled mother at her home in Scranton. She was also very ready to help any neighbors who needed anything. Mildred had many hobbies that kept her busy. She loved working in the garden taking care of the flowers and fruits and vegetables. She helped to take care of the chickens and milk the cows. She spent many many hours sewing and quilting, making sure that everyone in the family had a warm quilt. She enjoyed entertaining guests at her house with some of the best food that you would ever eat and a very competitive game of pinochle. Following a stroke in 2003, Mildred moved to Southwest Healthcare Long Term Care in Bowman. She very much enjoyed her time there, playing BINGO and random pranks on the employees. She and her family were all so very appreciative of the quality of care that she received.
