Michelle Marie Duncan Edwards, 43, of Rhame, ND, passed away quietly March 5, 2016 in Bismarck at the St. Alexius Medical Center, surrounded by her husband and children.

Memorial Services for Michelle will be on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 10-2 at the Rhame American Legion. The family will gather with friends to remember Michelle.

Michelle was born February 28th 1973 in Eugene Oregon, the daughter of George and Valerie (Schaaf) Duncan.

Michelle was the cherished wife of Monte Edwards of Rhame, ND. Devoted mother to Alexis (Anthony) Bryant, Sweet Home, OR. Tearney (Loni) Johnson, Scranton, ND. Frankie and Seth Edwards, Rhame, ND. Step mother to Matt and Ashlee Edwards, Bismarck, ND. Proud grandmother to Autumn Bryant, Sweet Home, OR.

Michelle was a fun loving person. Often known for her infectious laughter. No one was a stranger to Michelle. She made friends easily.

Michelle had a heart for taking care of people. You could see this with her parents. She also provided love and care to her mother in law, Helen, Rhame, ND. Her kindness didn't stop with family. She was known to provide a warm bed and hot meal to anyone that needed it. Because of this big heart, she learned to be resourceful. She could stretch a dollar to last the week.

Michelle had a kind heart towards animals. She loved all her animals. Her dogs Harley Jean, Budda, and Lucy, Her cat Bigfoot, also 2 chinchillas and a sugar glider.

In her free time she enjoyed a variety of activities. She had a natural talent for working with her hands. She also enjoyed many hours of fishing at Haley Dam and all over in Minnesota.

She was adventurous and made many places home. North Dakota had won her heart. She met Monte in 2001. Together, they raised their children and began a marriage.

Of all the things in the world, Michelle loved her family unconditionally.



Michelle is survived by her husband Monte Edwards, her children Frankie and Seth Edwards, Alexis (Anthony) Bryant, Tearney (Loni) Johnson, her step kids Matt and Ashley Edwards, her mother-in-law Helen Edwards, her sisters Shawna (Shon) Davis, Springfield Oregon and Lori Martin (Sam Alton), Payette Idaho, numerous nieces and nephews, and her animals.



She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Valorie Duncan, and Timmy and Guss, her beloved dogs.
