Michelle was born March 20th, 1970 to Fred & Rene Burk, she was the youngest of three children. Her older sister Debbie and her older brother Rocky grew up on a farm south of Amidon, North Dakota during the summer and a townhouse in Bowman, North Dakota during the winter.
Michelle attended grade school and high school in Bowman. She played basketball, participated in gymnastics and was a cheerleader. She also had a job through high school at the local Tastee Freeze with her friends Kay and Dorothy, she loved that job. She liked a full line up of activities. Afterwards she attended DSU and earned an Elementary degree along with a bachelor's degree in Drivers Ed and Psychology.
Michelle met her soul mate Keith, in 1984, they were high school sweethearts and got married in the summer of 1990. A year later they had their first child, Garrett, and soon to follow came a little brother, Sheldon. "The boys" were the center of her life, she was the most devoted mom, she spent all her time with them and their friends, taking them to baseball and other sports, skateboarding and whatever else they could come up with.
She was a beacon of light in our community and beyond, she worked with Coyle Electric for over 20 years along with bartending at the Crystal Bar with Shannon. She worked many places over the years because she just couldn't say "No!". She worked the last few years at Southwest Healthcare and West River Health. She was always a receptionist and greeted people with a smile and warmth. She played many other special rolls such as coaching basketball, teaching Sunday School, and was on the park board. She was a caregiver in between, to her parents, and her husband and loved every minute of doing so.
Michelle battled with multiple back surgeries and countless other surgeries over her life that hindered a lot of her plans, but they couldn't slow her down. She always carried herself with a beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She always looked forward to planting flowers, her garden, and upkeeping her yard in the summer time, and being with her pets. Baking and cooking was her specialty. Everyone knew Michelle had the best treats! She loved trying new recipes and loved cook books. She always said "I am going to get up and clean" but always ended up cooking and baking instead.
Michelle always talked about the day when she would become a grandma and finally her dreams came true when she was blessed with three beautiful grandbabies, Scotti, Scout and Keaton. They loved her so much and she loved them. "Gmashouse" was the place to be. Not a day went by that she wasn't offering to watch her grand kids or spoil them.
Michelle is preceded in death by her mother, Rene Burk;and grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Keith Domagala, children, Garrett(Haley) Domagala; Sheldon(Bree) Domagala, her grandchildren Scotti, Scout and Keaton; her father, Fred Burk; brother, Rocky Burk, sister Debbie(Todd) Seymanski, and niece Tia Seymanski, along with other family members and many, many special friends.
