She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church.  She belonged to Cattlewomen, Rancherettes Homemakers , Gelbvieh Gals and served on the cemetery board.  She volunteered at the museum for years and even after she retired she still clipped newspaper articles for their files.  She was active in the Bowman County Fair every year. She was very giving with her time and helped out where ever she could.

Maxine had a soft spot in her heart for her dogs, Binky, Muffy, Cricket and Mac. She loved all dogs and it was always said if there was a bank robbery and the robber had a dog she could describe the dog but not anything else!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin, parents, and her brother Jim.

She is survived by her son(also as she called him "the kid") Wade and his wife Cindy;  Grandchildren:  Kezia(Theo), Johnathon(Tawney), Casie(Taylor), Breann, Alisha, Scott and Ryan; Great Grandchildren:  Isabelle, Sage, Laci, Lane, and Tinsley; Sister-in-law Marlene Mrnak and many nieces, nephews and great friends.
