Marsha G. Schaff, 78, of Bowman ND, passed away on April 7, 2018 at the St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck.

Mass of Christian burial for Marsha will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Bowman. Fr. Paul Eberle will celebrate the Mass with burial to follow in the Bowman Cemetery. There will be a Rosary and Vigil Service on Wednesday evening at the St. Charles Catholic Church beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Marsha (Trainor) Schaff was born on June 27, 1939 to Marshall and Lillian Trainor. She grew up in Bowman, ND, and attended Bowman High School. She married Robert Schaff in August of 1956 and together had four children. Bob's job had them moving around from North Dakota to Texas to Minnesota and later resided back home in Bowman, ND.

In October 1973, Marsha married Larry Schaff and together had two children. They raised all six kids together.

Marsha was a CNA for over 30 years at the Bowman Hospital and nursing home and enjoyed caring for others.

She was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters.

Marsha enjoyed spending time with her family, especially holidays, attending her grandkid's activities, camping with family and coffee with friends.

In 1998, her long journey of health problems began. She battled her health concerns with peace and quietness. She was a fighter and never once complained.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents Marshall and Lillian Trainor; infant brother Michael; sister, Marlene Baker; grandson, Sheldon Perkins; and mother-in-law Sally Schaff.

Marsha is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Larry Schaff; 6 children LeeAnn (Terry) Andersen, Bowman, ND; Bobby ( Lavonne) Schaff, Bowman, ND; Danny ( Shelly) Schaff, Bowman, ND; Jill Quintanilla (Jason Witt), Bowman, ND; Melissa (Ty) Dix, Bowman, ND and Troy (Kirsten) Schaff, West Fargo, ND. She is survived by 19 grandkids, Preston Rehm; Nichole Walby; Kristen Schaff; Kaylee Schaff; Colby Schaff; Casey Schaff; Brandon Schaff; Andrea (Chris) Spicer; Ryan Quintanilla; Stephen (Bailey) Quintanilla; Sterling Quintanilla; Kaitlyn Dix; Lindsey Dix; Ashlynn Dix; Nathan Dix; Ashton Schaff; and Ava Schaff and 8 great grandchildren;

Marsha is also survived by sisters Joan Soehren, Bowman, ND; and Shug (Duane) Lutz, Bowman, ND; brother Larry (Kay) Trainor, Green Valley, AZ and numerous nieces and nephews.
