Mark Allen Mollman, 58, of Ludlow, SD, passed away peacefully at his home the weekend of April 25th, 2020. Mark was born March 1, 1962 to David Mollman and Mary Lou (Reitz) Mollman of Ludlow, SD.

Mark attended grade school in the country schools of Ludlow and Lincoln and graduated High School from New England St. Mary's in 1981, where he developed the name "Mad Dog". We are not sure if we ever really knew how he got his nickname. After helping on the farm/ranch he attended Dakota Aerotech in Fargo, ND, and worked in Fargo for a time before returning to the South Dakota family farm/ranch.

Mark married Michelle Shaw of Dickinson, ND in June of 1999. They moved to the property Mark bought that was his Great-Grandfathers near Ralph, SD. Mark helped his dad Dave for many years on the family farm/ranch while also working his own property.

Even though Mark did not have any children of his own, he was a loving stepfather to Michelle's two young boys Kevin and Steven Shaw. Mark stayed friends with Michelle after they were no longer together and he continued to show his support for Kevin and Steve, and they loved Mark for it.

Mark had a unique sense of humor and wit. Mark was mostly a quiet guy and had a "cool cat" sort of way about him. Mark's end quote on social media was always "All is good". The deep contagious laugh he had was genuine as was his big heart. He showed his love and support in difficult situations, making light with his humor. To show up at the hospital for a sister's surgery and only to say, "I'm just here to pull the plug" was typical of Mark to light the day. When our mother needed help in her later years, Mark was proud to care for Mary Lou for nearly a year before her passing. Mark was a good cook and always had a listening ear for his mother with patience and understanding. Mark enjoyed his local gathering places to see his neighbors, such as Crooked Creek at Ludlow, and the many great friendships he valued so dearly.

Mark was preceded in death by his brother Stewart, his dad Dave and his mom Mary Lou. Mark is survived by his sisters: Cheryl Lewton (Tim), Laura Hosford (Dick), Terisa Thompson (Mac); brothers: Chris Mollman, Craig Mollman (Joyclyn); and many nieces and nephews and many dear family and friends
