Lucille M. Riedlinger, 91 of Scranton, ND died on Friday, March 18, 2011 at the St. Luke's Care Home in Dickinson.

Mass of Christian Burial for Lucille will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. March 23, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Scranton. Fr. Joseph Chipson will officiate with burial to follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, March 22, 2001 at 11:00 to 4:00 at the Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Home Chapel and from 5:00 to 8:00 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Lucille was born on May 3, 1919 in the Haley, ND area, the daughter of Norman and Angie (Estlack) Carpenter. She was raised and educated in the Haley and Scranton area. She was united in marriage to Gene Riedlinger on September 5, 1942 in Scranton. While Gene proudly served his country in the Armed Forces, they made their home in Providence, RI. In 1945 they returned to the Bowman-Scranton area where Lucille was a busy homemaker where she raised five children.

Lucille was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Church Guild, Golden Miners Club and the Scranton Legion Auxiliary for 67 years. She greatly enjoyed raising flowers and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Timmy and Belle and she truly loved each of them. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

She was a very loving and caring Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma. She loved to play cards and games with the family. Mom loved to dance and listen to old time music. She loved her friends and neighbors and appreciated the many kind and generous things they did for her.

Lucille is survived by her children; Betty and Jim Meier of Murdock, MN, Ardis and Aaron Underdahl of Dickinson, ND, Sherman and Connie Riedlinger of Williston, ND, Al Riedlinger of Scottsdale, AZ, and Curt Riedlinger of Scranton, ND, grandchildren; Daren (Lisa) Meier or Faribault, MN, Todd (Brenda) Meier of Ham Lake, MN, Kevin Meier of Murdock, MN, Brian (Brenda) Underdahl of Peirre, SD, Thane (Helen) Underdahl, Andy Riedlinger of Denver, CO, Ashli (Oscar) Noriega, Bloomington, MN, Alexi (T.J.) Murphy, Bismarck and her great granddaughters, Lauren, Jaci, Alli and Kelsey Meier.

Lucillle was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, her parents, Norman and Angie, her brother, Russell and two sisters, Laura and Adele.
