Louis Holzman, 79, of Scranton, ND, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the Southwest Healthcare Hospital in Bowman.
Funeral Services for Louis will be on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church in Scranton. Pastor Galen Strand will officiate with burial to follow in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Scranton, ND. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 9-9 at the Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Home Chapel.

Louis was born on June 6, 1936 at Scranton, ND. Mom always said Louis and Leroy Wold were the only crop raised that year. He attended Buena Vista country school and graduated from high-school at Scranton. He started farming with his Mother and Uncle Perry Hanson.

Louis was a independent self-reliant bachelor. He enjoyed flying and bowling league each week. After his stroke, he was even more concerned to stay independent. His hobby then was driving around the local area, He was always a strong Scranton supporter, community and school especially. As a farmer he only wanted to plant wheat.

He was proceeded in death by his parents. Louis and Mae Holzman , a baby sister, and older sister, Doris Wischow. He is survived buy one sister Charlotte (Reuben) Pladsen, three nephew's, Paul (Sandy) Wischow, Perry (Renea) Wischow, Dwight Pladsen, with two nieces Dwan (Bruce) Kinney, Thelma DeMattio. Three grand nephews, and 5 grand nieces along with the Scranton community
