Laurette McGee, 65, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at home in Bowman, North Dakota. Memorial services for Laurette will be Friday, October 17, 2014, at 12:00 pm at the United Methodist Church, Bowman, ND. Pastor Ron Olson will officiate. Inurnment will occur at a later date.

Laurette was born on July 17, 1949, the second child born to Norman Leduc and Chloe Leduc Dobson in South Bridge, MA.

She grew up in the Lemmon, Hettinger and Bowman areas graduating from Bowman High School in 1968. Later, Laurette welcomed three sons, Larry Jr., Ronnie and Matt Abrahamson. She married Morrell McGee on March 20, 1998, and they were married until his death in 2007.
Laurette worked as a CNA at Southwest Heathcare Long Term Care Facility for many years, retiring only a few years ago. She kept busy cleaning houses and offices.

Laurette loved animals, especially cats and dogs. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

Laurette is survived by her three sons, Larry (Dunnel) Abrahamson Jr., Ronnie (Kim) Abrahamson and Matt Abrahamson; 6 grandchildren, Angela, Andrew, Celicia, Caylla, Jordan and Nathan Abrahamson; two sisters, Linda (Clif) Sanders and Laurel Foust and two brothers Alliston Dobson and Aldon Dobson. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Laurette is preceded in death by her mother and father, grandparents, older brother Dr. Norman Leduc Dobson and brother-in-law Richard Foust.
