Kelly Oien, 92, of Bowman, ND passed away at his home on Friday, April 25, 2014 in Bowman, ND.

Funeral Services for Kelly will be at 10:00 a.m.  on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Bowman Lutheran Church in Bowman.  Pastor Charles Swanson will officiate with burial to follow in the Bowman Cemetery. Visitation for Kelly will begin on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Home Chapel.

Junior Ellworth "Kelly" Oien, was born on September 13, 1921 in Bowman, ND, the son of Elmer and Mae (Schade) Oien. Kelly was educated in Rhame and in Bowman. He then enlisted into the United States Army in Aril of 1943 and proudly served his country during WWII until being honorably discharged in December of 1945. Kelly returned home and attended colleges in Jamestown, NDSU in Fargo and Iowa State. He became and Principal and Superintendent and worked in Crystal, ND, Leonard, ND, Beach, ND, Mott, ND and Bowman, ND. He also enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, painting and Photography.

Kelly is survived by his children, Linda Sherman of Buffalo, MN, Daniel Oien of Spokane, WA, Nora (Larry) Nadeau of Prescott, AZ and Kelli Ann Kelly of Prescott, AZ. 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, many cousins and two nephews, Randy and Jeff Peters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mae Oien, sister, Maybelline Peters and grandson, Lars Nadeau.
