Julia L. Van Daele, 81, of Tioga, ND, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her home in Tioga.
Funeral Services for Julia will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Home Chapel. Fr. Eberle will officiate with burial to follow in the Tuttle Cemetery, Rhame, ND. Visitation for Julia will be on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 9-9 at the funeral home chapel.Julia Lierela VanDaele was born July 8, 1935, to Julius and Ludwina VanDaele. She was the sixth of ten children.
She grew up on the farm with her family in Bullion View Township. When Julia was little she stayed close to her mother's side. She loved playing with her dolls and also enjoyed singing.
When Julia moved from home, she loved the activities and enjoyed socializing with her friends and neighbors. She especially enjoyed shopping and buying items for her apartment.
Julia loved caring for her fish and birds. She loved seeing her family and always remembered her nieces and nephews and the names of their children. Every once in a while she would send a card or a letter to someone she was thinking of. Her letters were always a joy to receive and it reminded those who received them just how precious life is and how touching just a single hand-written note could be. Her loving and caring heart was very treasured by her family and friends.
Last summer, at the VanDaele Family Reunion, we were blessed that she was able to attend. When she arrived, her smile lit up the room and her laughter was contagious! This was evident by the many relatives that circled around her table to hear her laughter and listen in on her stories.
She held all of her guardians close to her heart, as did they.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, Cyril, and brothers, George, Joseph, and Henry VanDaele, and her sisters, Semona and Yvonne.
Surviving Julia are her sisters, Janet Bacon and Susan Steinwald, and her brothers, Lauren and Laurence VanDaele.
