Judith (Judy) Jean Kirschmann, 69, passed away in Bismarck on July 20, 2020, after a brief and difficult battle with cancer.

Judy was born to Eugene and Norma Davis on June 21, 1951, in Hettinger, ND.  She attended elementary school in Slope County at Cottage School and attended high school at Sheyenne River Academy in Harvey, ND.  She went on to receive her degree in Secretarial Administration from Rapid City College of Business in Rapid City, SD.  She also attended Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN, in 1971 where she majored in music.

Judy's God and her family were the center of her life. Judy married Rodney on June 27, 1976.  They raised their sons, Dustin and Brooks, on the Kirschmann family farm where Judy worked alongside her husband. Judy was a member of the Bowman Seventh-day Adventist Church where over the years she served as an elder, sang, taught Sabbath School, gave the sermon, and served God and others. Judy also sang in a musical trio with her sister, Crystal, and cousin, Becky Hansen, worshipping God through music mostly at church functions.

Professionally, Judy supported her community through her work as a crop insurance adjuster for Wells Fargo, her work at Slope Electric Cooperative, and most recently for Hettinger County as the Job Development Association Director and as the President of the Regent Development Corporation.

In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, reading, and playing games with her family and friends.  Judy is described as having great taste in clothing and home décor and being a woman of dignity and poise.

She is survived by her husband Rodney, sons Dustin (Stephanie) and Brooks (Kimberly) Kirschmann, brother Jerry (Deb) Davis, sister Crystal (John) Schneider. She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene Davis (1977), Norma Davis (2020), and aunt Darlene Hansen (2020).

A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 26 at 2:00 pm in Regent, at the Castle, in the gymnasium.
