JoAnn Rosalie Tollefsrud Domagala, 83, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026 at Southwest Healthcare Services in Bowman.

JoAnn was born on March 2, 1943, to Adolph and Eileen (Gillick) Tollefsrud. She was raised on the Tollefsrud family farm one mile north of Spring Lake and was the second oldest of twelve children. Growing up on the farm shaped the hardworking, humble woman she would remain throughout her life. She attended school in Rhame and graduated from Rhame High School.

On January 30, 1965, JoAnn married David Domagala. To this union came three children. Together they raised their family on the Domagala farm south of Rhame, where JoAnn worked tirelessly caring for her home and children. In 1995, she moved to Bowman, where she worked various jobs.

JoAnn was a woman of deep faith whose devotion guided her life. She found happiness in simple things—taking pictures, scrapbooking memories, and spending time with those she loved most. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the greatest joy of her life, and she treasured every moment she spent with them.

JoAnn also had a special appreciation for the beauty of nature. She loved flowers—especially peonies, tulips, and purple irises—and enjoyed the peace and comfort of staying close to home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Eileen Tollefsrud, and her sister, Adele.

JoAnn is survived by her three children; eight grandchildren; 14  great-grandchildren; her 10 siblings; and many extended family members and friends
