Ivabelle Dahl, 88 of Jamestown, ND passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012 in Jamestown, ND.



Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Scranton. Fr. Joseph Chipsom will celebrate the Mass with burial to follow in the Haley Catholic Cemetery, rural Scranton. There will be a Rosary and Scripture Service on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 7:00 p.m.



Visitation for Ivabelle will begin on Thrusday morning, May 10, 2012 at the Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Ivabelle R Dahl passed away with family at her side on May 7th, 2012, at Ava Marie Care Center in Jamestown ND. She was 88. Ivabelle was born in Gascoyne ND to Delno and Selma Penrose on January 7, 1924. She attended the Gascoyne School System through the 11th grade, and then completed her high school at Reeder ND. She graduated in 1942.
Ivabelle took with her the love of reading, which she continued for throughout her life. When she was 18, she married Bernard Becker and became a wife, homemaker and mother of 10 children. When widowed, she learned to be strong, and independent. On June 3, 1961 Ivabelle married Leon Dahl and moved to the farming country south of Scranton, ND. There she had two more girls (now an even dozen children) and spent her years loving, and raising her children. They spent 46 years of marriage together before his passing in 2007.
Ivabelle enjoyed being active with her children through school activities, loved to cook, can, bake and raise her own chickens. Her hobbies were always a part of her life. It could be sewing, reading, paint by number, cross stich, mesh canvas, but especially crocheting. Her works grace many people's homes and will always be a reminder of her. She also loved a good pinochle party or a game of cards with the family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Scranton as well. In the later years Ivabelle spent time at "The Lodge at Lone Tree Creek" in Sidney MT, and "The Heritage Center" in Jamestown ND, always having family surrounding her.
Ivabelle is survived by her sons Roy Becker (Amarillo, TX), Claud Becker (Gwinner, ND), and daughters Betty Reller (Spearfish, SD), Bonnie Roberts (Tucson, AZ), Carol Becker (Spearfish, SD), Bernice (Gary) Riemer of Jamestown, ND, Alice (Steve) Janes of Powell, WY, and Sherry Moreno (Carrington, ND) . She had seventeen grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Ivabelle was preceded in death by her husband Leon Dahl, parents, Delno & Selma Penrose, sisters, Georgia and Gene; brothers, Jim and Merle, Levi and Wesley; sons Harry, Leon, Matt & Jeff Becker, grandsons Stanley Becker and Chris Dietz.
