Gene Belle, 68, of Bowman, ND, passed away on January 16, 2026 at the Southwest Healthcare in Bowman.   Memorial Services for Gene will be on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Bowman Lutheran Church.  Pastor Galen Strand will officiate.   There will be a Family and Friends Service on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 7:00 pm at the Bowman Lutheran Church.

Eugene "Gene" Eric Belle was born on March 4, 1957, in Onemia, MN, the son of Halmer and Ella Mae Belle.  Gene attended school in Cando and Egeland, ND.  On September 26, 1981, Gene was united in marriage to Tani Krueger.  On May 20, 1983, daughter Angela was born.  Shortly after, they moved to Bowman, ND, and in July 0f 1983 Gene went to work for Melvin Miller construction.  On May 28, 1989, daughter Whitney joined the family.  In 1990, Gene went to work for Steve Beylund Construction.   Gene was well known for his abilities to run Heavy Equipment.  When Gene wasn't running heavy equipment, he was busy doing chores and taking care of his beloved cows.  He loved many things in life including fishing and hunting.  He along with his family enjoyed many camping and fishing trips to McKenzie Bay.  Gene loved spending time with his grandkids, Aspen and Easton.  Quinnley was born on December 20, 2024, and he loved snuggling her and watching her grow.

Gene is survived by his wife Tani Belle, daughters Angie (Allen) Graham and Whitney (Jayden) Hofland, grandkids Aspen, Easton and Quinnley, Mother Ella Mae Belle, brothers; Lynn (Corrin), Melvin (Cheryl), Tracy (Sandy), Randy (Trish), Rob (Laura), sister Deb (Gene) Gefroh and many nieces and nephews.

Gene was preceded in death by his father Halmer.
