Gary L. Stone, 72, of Marmarth, ND, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at the Southwest Healthcare in Bowman.

A Family and Friends service for Gary will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 7:00 pm at the Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Home Chapel on Bowman.

Gary was born on May 15, 1954 in Missouri. He loved to go fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandkids. He spent his life as a mechanic and even in retirement, he was always fixing or working on something. Anyone who met Gary knew that he could talk with the best of them. He was also known for his “Bear Hugs”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Anne Stone and stepson Ty Young. He is survived by Juanita Stone, son Randy, stepchildren Trish (Brad) White, Jessica West, Jason and Jamie Kromarek, Kyle Kromarek and 9 grandchildren who were his pride and joy; Lexi, Addam, Nat, Mark, David, Elliot, William, Abby and Oliver, brother Brad, step son Greg and his family, adopted daughter Billie (Eric) Jorgens and their children; Joshwa, William, Tonlin, brother, Jim “Toad” Brown, and nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed dearly by his family and all his friends. He will live on in the stories he told and the skills he taught.
