Gary Rue, 69, of Rhame, ND, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Vibra Hospital in Mandan, ND.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 at the First Lutheran Church in Rhame, ND. Pastor Charles Swanson will officiate.

Gary L. Rue was born on November 19, 1945 in Miles City, Montana, the son of Delbert and Irene (Waller) Rue. He was raised on the family farm north of Rhame where he attended grade school at Crawford school and then graduating from Rhame High School in 1963. In 1968, Gary was united in marriage to Diann Carlson and the continued to live on the farm until 1986 when they took over the grocery store in Rhame. In 2002 they moved to Carson, ND, to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Gary worked for Grant County for 12 years and in 2014, they moved back to Rhame. Gary was a man of few words, but could strike up a conversation with anyone. He enjoyed the outdoors, the yard and flowers, and he dearly loved his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diann of Rhame, ND, his daughter, Nicole (David) Delaplane of Bismarck and their kids, Quincy, Kailey and Brock, son Del (Heidi Schulz) of Bismarck and their kids, Aidan and Addison, and many cousins and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Irene, sister Delva, dearly loved brother-in-law, Dick Idler, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and father-in-law Milford Carlson
