Francie Ihle Seamands passed away on August 4, 2024 at her home in Mandan, ND.  Mass of Christian Burial for Francie will be on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 12:30 pm Central Standard Time at the Spirit of Life Catholic Church in Mandan.  Burial will follow in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan beginning at 2:00 pm.

Francie Eva Ihle Seamands was born on April 29th, 1949, in Hettinger, ND to Anton and Eva (Haag) Ihle. Francie grew up with her siblings in Haynes, ND and graduated from Hettinger High School in 1968. A month after graduating High School, Francie married her beloved husband, Jay Seamands, on June 29th, 1968. They were united in marriage until Jay's passing on December 26th, 2014. With this marriage they grew their family by bringing three daughters into the world – Candee, Codee, and Kellee.

Francie was a devoted Pharmacy Tech for 40+ years at HettingerDrug and West River Regional Medical Center in Hettinger, NDuntil her retirement in 2019. Following retirement, Francie moved to Mandan, ND where she continued to spend much of her time with family and friends making lasting memories andwas a cherished member of her community.

Francie loved doing anything and everything with her children and grandchildren (and of course her two very-loved Persian cats, Stormee and Rainee). From sharing meals together, going on a Starbucks run, going boating (even though she did not know how to swim), going to the casino, and traveling. It never mattered what she was doing, only that she was doing it with her family and was able to just be with them.

Surviving family members include her 3 daughters: Candee Doerr (Joshua Watts), Mandan, ND; Codee (Mike) McCarthy, Saxon, WI; and Kellee Seamands (Darrell Getz), Rhame, ND. Her 3 grandchildren: Braydyn Doerr, Bismarck, ND; Mataya (Mica) McCarthy, The Woodlands, TX; and Talyn Doerr, Mandan, ND. Her 2 sisters: Patty Ihle and Loretta Raven. Her 3 brothers: Casper Ihle; Eugene Ihle; and Lawerence Ihle.

Francie was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Seamands; her parents, Anton and Eva (Haag) Ihle; her father and mother-in-law, Lowell and Muriel Seamands; her 5 brothers, Edward Ihle, Philip Ihle, Sabastian Ihle, Jerry Ihle, and Richard Ihle; her 5 sisters, Genevieve Niorhas, Matilda Kay, Veronica Counts, Mary Ann Holobinko, and Dorothy Ihle; and numerous family on the Seamands and Ihle side.
