Erin gained her wings and is watching over us in heaven, is at peace, and will be missed by many. Erin passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2023, on her 57th birthday, in Bismarck, ND
She was born December 11, 1966 in Bowman, ND to parents Darrell and Karen (Anderson) Feist She was the youngest of four for many years until she became a big sister in 1982 gaining a fourth sibling making them a family of five. When Erin was little she loved to deliver Avon with her mom, but she never wanted to be seen in the delivery vehicle "Putter", so she would duck down when necessary to avoid embarrassment. She also liked to boss her pretend to students around while she played school in the basement. She would cheer on the neighborhood kids while they played the weekly weekend football games. The siblings loved to play military and would slither around under the chairs and when they played church she always had to serve communion. Erin attended Bowman High School graduating in 1985. She has shared many fond memories with many of us of her high school years from enjoying track and field to playing the clarinet to the scandals she and her friends would get into including dragging main, some parties, and meeting at the car wash or gas station.
Erin married Kurt Olson on April 13, 1986 they enjoyed 15 years together through raising a family, camping, fishing, and enjoying eachothers company. They parted ways in 2001.
Keisha Kaye Hagen (Brooks Sivertson) was born August 21, 1985 and Casey Robert Olson (Makayla Moon) came along on May 19, 1987. That completed her family and she was happy to be a mom to a girl and a boy and that was something she was very proud of.
Erin enjoyed many activities but her favorite role was Grandma. When Keiandra Kaye Hagen, Bryson Joshua Hagen, and Aislyn Erin Hagen children of Keisha and

Joshua Hagen and Amarah Grace Olson child of Casey Olson and Makaya Moon came into this world she picked up her role as grandma as if she had been made to be one. Erin loved to spend time with her grandkids one of the things she enjoyed the most was playing "Hide Spongebob" She got the little Spongebob toy out of a Mcdonalds happy meal and every time the "grand kiddies" as she called them came to visit they would take turns hiding Spongebob around the house and then saying "Hot, Cold, on Fire, freezing" it was one of their favorite pastimes with grandma as well.
Erin had many other jobs throughout her teens on up but her passion was in Graphic Design. She loved to design ads and other papers and she was darn good at it. She loved her role at the Bowman Finder and Pioneer but her favorite position was at United Hospital in Grand Forks. She was so proud of her profession, coworkers, and colleagues. It saddened her to have to leave when a job for her partner took them to Minot, ND.
She will always be remembered for her wonderful personality and the way that she loved life, meeting new people, and spending time surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed long walks, rollerblading, camping, fishing, UND Hockey, and Broncos Football among other things. We'll always imagine hearing her say "Hellllll-o" when she answered the phone. We miss hearing that tremendously. We couldn't have asked for a better daughter, sister, mother, grandmother or friend and will miss Erin every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Erin was preceded in death by her Paternal grandparents Merwin and Camilla Feist. Maternal grandparents Wesley and Eleanor Anderson and is survived by Her parents Darrell and Karen Feist of Bowman; sister Ceylon (Doug) Feiring of Powers Lake, ND; Brother Chad Feist of Sioux Falls, SD; Brother Tad (Gina) Feist of Beaulah, ND; Darby (Ashley) Feist of Aberdeen, SD; nieces and nephews Brett, Brady, Shambre, Sasha, Jaqueline, Brandon, Dillon, Ashley, Michael, and Quinton.
