of five children, raised on the family ranch south of Bowman ND. During his younger years he loved
riding his horse "Doc"

summers eating berries rather than watching the sheep and fighting with his pet turkey's.
He attended elementary school at St. Martin's Academy in Sturgis and in Ludlow, SD and graduated from
high school at St. Mary's in New England ND, in 1956.
Edward joined the military in 1961 to 1963 because of the severe drought of 1960 to 61 where he
served approximately 13 months in
Korea
. After the military he returned to the family ranch with
brother James. Shortly after returning Fast Eddy met his bride to be at the Scranton Equity Exchange.

Edward's life was farming and ranching. He loved his Hereford cattle and especially feeding and caring
for livestock. He was a caring and loving father and grandfather that loved attending and supporting his
children's and grandchildren's sporting events and school activities.
When he wasn't busy on the farm, Edward loved to play cribbage and pinochle with family and friends.
He was active in the Knight of Columbus and American Legion. Edward liked to further his knowledge of
livestock by attending seminars and hands-on schooling.
Later in life, he enjoyed spending time with his special friend Marlene
Mrnak
