Delores Shear, 85 of Woodbury, MN, formerly of Bowman, ND, passed away on March 6, 2015 at the Woodbury Senior Living Center in Woodbury.

Funeral Services for Delores will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Bowman Lutheran Church in Bowman. Pastor Mark Nygard and Pastor Charles Swanson will officiate with burial to follow in the Bowman Cemetery. There will be a Family and Friends Service on Wednesday evening at the Krebsbach Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 8:00 p.m.
Dolores Thorson was born on March 21, 1929, in Bowman, ND, the daughter of Alfred and Agnes (Hirsch) Thorson. She was raised on the family farm north of Bowman where she received her education. Dolores married Robert Shear Sr. on April 25, 1947 in Baker, MT, after he returned home from WWII. They moved to Worden, MT, and lived there for several years and then moved back to the bowman area where they farmed with Alfred for a few years. They then moved back to Worden, MT, where Bob worked for the Project Phone Company and Dolores was busy raising their children. After five years, they then returned to Bowman where Dolores worked part-time for J.C. Penny's and also the night shift at the Sunset Home as a nurse's aide. She was a member of the Bowman Lutheran Church and the Frank Gordhamer American Legion Post #48. She was an avid baker, especially her caramel rolls, buns, breads and pies. She loved baking and cooking for others. She was a wonderful seamstress which was evident when she made Connie's wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses and Scott's suit for the wedding. She loved playing cards with her group of friends at Has Beens and loved playing bingo too. She helped with the garden and grew potatoes which were used for the family lefse making business. Dolores loved her family and grandchildren and always looked forward to the times when they all could be together.
She is survived by her children; Robert Shear Jr., of Dickinson, ND, Connie (Ron) Buchholz of Eagon, MN, Dennis (Kathleen) Shear of Tucson, AZ, Lori (Lonny) Bagley of Lakeland, Co, and Scott (Emily) Shear of Bowman, ND, 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Agnes Thorson, husband, Robert Shear Sr., daughter, Sandy Dubisar, 2 grandchildren, Kimberly and Kenyon Buchholz, sisters, Aileen, Gene and Dorothy, daughter-in-law, Mary Shear.
