Diane "Tootsie" Brewer was born on September 18, 1952, in Dickinson, ND, the daughter of Clarence and Rosella Magnuson.  At birth, her father nicknamed her Tootsie, which became her assumed name throughout life.  She was raised on the family farm south of Haley, ND with her parents and three older brothers.  She attended country school through the 8 th grade and graduated from Scranton High School in 1970.  After graduation, she attended college in Rapid City and upon returning worked for MDU for a few years.  In 1973, she married Robert (Bobb) Brewer and moved to the Brewer farmstead northeast of Bowman, where they farmed and ranched all of their lives.  Shortly after her father passed away in 1987, Tootsie started working for Rick Krebsbach, at KrebsbachFuneral Home, where she worked for 17 years.  It was an honor and privilege for Tootsie to assist in caring for those that had passed and provide comfort for those left grieving.

Tootsie loved her family and friends but was especially fond of her children and all of their friends.  Some of her happiest moments were spent cooking and gathering with others. When Tootsies house was full of kids, whether they were ages 6, 14, or 22, she always made sure they felt welcomed and loved.  She was notorious for having cupboards full of food, a candy drawer, a fridge full of pop and her famous goulash.  She truly loved all people, children and animals.  As a young girl, she had a very special horse named Patches and 2 pet racoons.  Over the years, she had numerous dogs and cats, but two of her most dearly loved, were Bo and Cody.  Her grandchildren, which she not so patiently waited for, were so very special to her, and again always made sure she had their favorite snacks in her cupboards.  Tootsies laughter and smile will live on in the hearts of so many.

She is survived by her husband Bobb of 49 years, son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Jodi Brewer, Bowman, daughter and son-in-law, Rachelle and Sam Juntunen, Amidon, 6 grandchildren:  Trey, Aspen and Bowen Brewer and Jace, Kylie and Tenley Juntunen, her brother Darwin Magnuson, Bowman, Sister-in-laws:  Susan Magnuson, Rocks Springs, WY, Verna Torpen, Rapid City, SD, Peggy (Terry) Harzinski, Bismarck, ND and Janet Haralson, Sidney, MT and several nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Darrel and Dennis Magnuson.
