Curt Hansen, 66, of Bowman, ND, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, ND. Funeral services for Curt will be on Monday, June 20, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Bowman, ND with Pastor Michael Temple officiating.  Burial will follow at the Bowman Cemetery, Bowman, ND.

Curt Nick Hansen was born April 14, 1956 in Bowman, North Dakota to Eugene and Evelyn Tkachenko Hansen.

He attended grade school at Grand River, a small country school near his home.  High school was attended at Sheyenne River Academy in Harvey, North Dakota where he met lifelong friends including his wife. He attended two years of college but decided farming and ranching was where he wanted to be and returned to the family farm in 1980.

He married Charlene Juhl on a beautiful October day.  They spent many years adding to the farm and ranch. Andrea Juhl was added to the family in 1983 and Allison Jane in 1987. Curt was so pleased he had daughters, he would even curl their hair for church!

Some of the things that brought him joy were a good crop, Simmental cows, a good debate amongst friends, laughter after a dry joke, and his favorite meal Hansen tacos topped off with brownies and ice cream.  He also liked fast motors whether  motorcycles, ATVs, or cars. Curt was a Mopar man and was so proud of his two Dodge Challengers. He also drag raced with his Dodge Lil Red Express truck. Other hobbies included rebuilding engines, welding, woodworking, carpentry, skeet shooting, and even crocheting. Curt also enjoyed seeing his grandchildren and was so proud of each one of them. He loved his God and read the Bible through numerous times.

His 22 years of Parkinson's disease was a challenge in so many ways. He gracefully accepted it and never complained. On June 16, 2022, he went to sleep waiting for Jesus to come.

Those that have preceded him in death include his father Eugene Hansen and brother Ted Hansen.

Those remaining include his wife Charlene, daughters Andrea (Kief) Hansen and Allison (Bartley) Engelhart. His mother Evelyn Allram step father Eldon Allram. His other siblings including Alan Hansen, Jeff Hansen, Vicki Toay and their spouses and children.

His grandchildren include Kason Hansen, Jaxon Hansen, Ryder Engelhart, Carter Engelhart, and Piper Engelhart.

He has also left behind many family members and friends.
