After an eight-year battle with cancer, Craig Eslinger passed away on November 28, 2023 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Craig was born on June 15, 1960 in Dickinson, North Dakota.  He grew up on the family farm north of Reeder, North Dakota, which he and his wife, Karmen, later purchased from his parents.

He attended all of his years of public education at Reeder School and graduated in 1978.  After graduation he joined the North Dakota National Guard and attended basic training in Fort Leonard Wood, MO.  He then attended North Dakota State School of Science (Wahpeton, ND) and obtained a certificate in welding.  Over the years he worked on a combining crew, at a potato farm in Nebraska, and other farms in the local area.  He was a heavy equipment operator in various industries including several coal mining facilities in the Reeder and Beulah, North Dakota areas, a gold mine in Nevada, and construction in North Dakota.

Throughout his life, humor and sports were his frequentcompanions. He always had a joke or funny story to tell.  He closely followed (and often cursed) the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, NDSU Bison, and local sports teams.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Karmen; his daughter Brandi (Will) Strachan of Western Australia and their sons Koen and Zion; two sons, Jordan (Dakota) Eslinger and Hunter (Taylor) Eslinger of Beulah, North Dakota; brothers Dave Kurth, and Tim (Libby) Kurth, and sisters; Jeanette (Jim) Elkins; Sandra (Dennis) Clapper; Pat (Gary) Barker; and Pam Eslinger; brothers-in-law Ken Voigt, Dean (Allison) Voigt, Casey (Julie) Voigt, and Shawn Voigt, and two sisters-in-law, Donalda Voigt and Kari (Mike) Trappen.  He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Beulah Eslinger, mother and father-in-law Kathleen and Donald Voigt, and sister-in-law Ethel Kurth.
