Clarence was born on January 30, 1930 to Signey and Chester Crevier in Lemmon, SD, near Shade Hill.  When he was a young boy,  Clarence's family moved to the Ludlow area.  He went to school at the Ludlow Schoolhouse through 8 th grade.  Clarence always said that he went in the front door and out the back for high school.  He helped his dad on the farm in his teen years and then went to work for his uncle, Hank Storlie, at the Standard Station on the corner of Main Street in Bowman.  In November, 1951, Uncle Sam drafted him into the Army and off to Fort Riley, Kansas he went.  While on furlough in April of 1952, he married the love of his life, Edith Erickson.  Three days later Clarence was shipped out to Germany where he served with Company I, 172 nd Infantry Regiment, 43 rd Infantry Division in Munich, West Germany.

It was the beginning of the Cold War in Europe and the War in Korea.  He was assigned to carry a bazooka on guard patrols between the West and East Germany border.  He told stories of how cold those nights would get.  During his last months of service in Germany, he was the Company Commander's driver and was honorably discharged in 1953.

Clarence and Edith made their home in Bowman, ND where they welcomed four children: Ken, Tim, Linda and Julie.  Clarence worked in Bowman as a mechanic for Lorenz Motors for 25 years.  If it was broke, he could fix it!   In 1975, they bought a piece of land south of Bowman and built a house.  Clarence decided he wanted to be his own boss and built C&T Repair, where he worked alongside his son, Tim, with Edith as the bookkeeper.

On a trip across Montana, Clarence spotted belted cattle, thus began the years of raising and selling Crevier's  Buelingo Cattle.  Also known as Crevier's Oreo cows.  Clarence and Edith worked hard ranching, running the mechanic shop, baling hay, and helping others.  Small hay bales became round bales making life a bit easier in the hay field.  Hard work and ranching go hand in hand.

Clarence loved horses.  Blazer, Goldie and Haley were his babies.  He would ride horse with the Downing cattle drives in the spring and fall of every year, just loving the job.  Not that many years ago, on a cattle drive, Goldie, his favorite horse, fell with him and the injury led to the discussion to retire.  It was time to visit grandkids in Alaska, Washington, New Hampshire, Maryland and Utah.  He sold the cattle and they did some traveling.  Clarence looked forward to every summer when the kids and grandkids (and great grands!) would come to the family farm to visit, take him for drives in the country, go fishing, and make donuts!  He was a hard working, no nonsense man who took great care of his family.  He was dearly loved and will truly be missed.

Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Edith and his children Ken (Teresa), Tim, Linda (Robert), and Julie (Sean).

Grandchildren: Michael and Amanda, David and Sydney, Melanie and Brian, Laura, Vania and Rob, Adam and Brianne, Matthew and Heather, Katie and Grant, and Anna.

Great grandchildren:  Mika;  Sam, Logan and Oliver;  Grace, Fiona and Elora;  Alex;  Noelle, Jacob, Georgia, Sydney and Lucy;  Joshua and Lindsay;  and the newest, Grayson.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Donald, sisters Audrey and Aimee and grandson Michael.
