Brian J.S. Fleck, 48, of Bowman, ND, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the Southwest Healthcare Hospital in Bowman.



Mass of Christian Burial for Brian will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Bowman. Fr. David Morman will officiate with burial to follow in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Bowman. There will be a Rosary and Vigil Service for Brian on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the St. Charles Catholic Church beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Brian was born on February 12th, 1966 he was the fourth child to John and Audrey Fleck in Bowman, North Dakota. Brian went to elementary and high school in Bowman. Brian went to Bismarck collage and also attended Northwest Technical College in East Grand Forks for Auto-Mechanics. Brian moved to Florida and also lived in Alaska for part of his life. Brian worked and lived near family when he was there. Brian moved back to North Dakota to work on the oil field and be near his mom and dad, he worked on an oil service rig. Brian worked for his mom and dad as a cook at the Town and Country Cafe for many years. Brian was also a cook at Gateway Cafe and worked with his daughter Melissa for awhile. Brian worked for AMVC Pig Farm for over four years. Brian loved the baby pigs and he has always had a soft spot for any animals. Brian worked at Subway as a night manager until his passing. In his leisure time Brian loved fishing with his friends and family. There are many stories from his fishing expeditions, his biggest fish was a king salmon that was 50 pounds, he caught it with his brother Randy in Alaska. Brian was always helping anyone who needed it. It did not matter who it was or what they needed. If you needed help, he was there. He was kind hearted and very loving. Brian is survived by his mother: Audrey (Crevier) Fleck, his sisters: Vanita Bradley, Susan Sheppard his brother: Randy Fleck his children: Anita Slavens, Amber (Berg) Anderson and (Jordan Anderson), Brandi (Sarsland) Derr and (David Derr), Stephanie Nevarez, Andrew Burton, Melissa (Fleck) Buchholz and (Matthew Buchholz), and his baby Brianna Fleck, as well as his 8 grandchildren whom he was very proud of. Brian is preceded in death by his father John Fleck, his son Matthew, and Elizabeth Burton.
